Harrington Elementary School : 3rd Grade and the 3-way Platoon!

Third graders have a unique opportunity this year because they have three teachers for their core subjects. In addition, they also have special area teachers and intervention specialists. The students are adjusting very well to this change and are learning the benefits of being organized. We are very proud of the work they have completed thus far.

Mrs. Turnbull teaches reading and writing, Ms. Zirkelbach teaches science, social studies and daily language instruction, and Ms. Figura teaches math. We are each really enjoying the opportunity to focus on teaching on our individual subject areas and the depth it allows us to bring to the subjects.

The students see each teacher every day of the week for one hour and forty five minutes and are learning to transition smoothly between classrooms, teachers and subject areas.

We are excited about the year so far and look forward to seeing the students grow as learners and individuals.<br«
