Fidgets: Not Permitted At School

Posted 05/01/2017

Dear Parents and Families of International Academy of Denver,

While the latest craze for students are fidget spinners, they are becoming a distraction in the last five weeks of school. We must prioritize bell-to-bell teaching and learning until the last day of school. Therefore, please have your child keep their fidget spinner at home.

Any fidget spinners will be confiscated and parents can pick them up at the end of the day.

Students who need learning accommodations, must have a documented IEP, 504 plan or behavior contract to warrant use of fidgets at school.

Please direct any questions to Annalee McBee, Assistant Head of School.
